The Bora Boréal adventure began on a summer's evening camping by a lake: "Can you imagine me doing the trick, while you're sleeping, of putting your mattress right in the middle of the water?"
A childhood joke between two childhood friends, Nicolas and Pierre-Luc, gave rise to an idea, a bit crazy, and then a mission: to offer everyone the chance to stay on the water, throughout the seasons, in exceptional floating chalets combining comfort, design and commitment.

At Bora Boréal, water is more than just a landscape element: it's the very essence of our concept. That's why we're committed to educating our visitors about protecting and preserving this precious resource. We are currently developing an immersive exhibition on the theme of "Water, a precious resource", as well as exclusive educational content to be featured in our Bora Boréal magazine, offered to our guests.
Staying at Bora Boréal means living an eco-responsible and conscious experience, where every drop of water counts. We encourage our guests to adopt responsible consumption through playful challenges, transforming everyday gestures into lasting awareness.
Each unit is equipped with a limited drinking water tank, filled at the beginning of the stay. Thanks to consumption tracking and comparison tools, our guests become fully aware of their water usage and discover concrete ways to preserve it, even after their stay.
Three Green Keys
The Green Key program, recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), is a graded rating system designed to identify tourist accommodations that are committed to improving their financial and environmental performance.
This organization supports hospitality management teams on the cutting edge of sustainable development, sharing guidance on opportunities to reduce energy consumption, waste, emissions and operating costs.
