Art along the river

Bora Boréal offers a unique, responsible experience in harmony with nature. With water at the heart of the project, Bora Boréal creates spaces to host art exhibitions highlighting the theme of water and nature, to embellish the premises with inspiring works.

First guest painter, Josiane Lanthier is renowned for her work on the theme of nature. For Bora Boréal, she has created a series of bespoke works entitled "Les reflets".

These creations are in harmony with the values that unite us, and fit in perfectly with the decor of the L'espace temps pavilion and the floating cottages on Lake Batley.

Les Reflets, 2024

Born in 1989, Josiane Lanthier lives and works in Baie-Saint-Paul.

"I paint and sew. I study color, texture and light. Know-how is important. Here, screen printing."

"I pick minority colors from landscapes and transpose the majority of them into a painting."

"I'm interested in the treatment of matter. In this case, water. In my work, I contrast colors, textures, light and quantity. I like oxymorons: dry water and black sun."

Les Berges, 2023

Patrick Bérubé is a visual and media artist specializing in sculpture, installation and public intervention.

He created "Les Berges" for Bora Boréal. Reminiscent of an arch, this work is a kind of welcoming door. Its central hole draws the eye in, creating a point of view, a spyglass, engaging in dialogue with its surroundings.

Inspired by the lake, its shape and its banks, it draws an elegant line, a perimeter unifying art, architecture and nature. Sober, the line takes on the texture of bark, magnified by the patina of bronze, and evokes the paths or fruit trees found on the site.
